Binta's father looked like a wise person who would come up with the idea. Binta's father wants to adopt a child from the west. This can show that everyone is equal no matter where u come from. It's a good idea because it shows that other people's views on the west can be changed. Soda's father doesnt want her to go to school because he believes that the women should stay in the house. Soda wants to go to school because all the other kids her age go and she wants an education. Soda's mother supports here because she doesnt want her daughter being sad anymore. Binta's society might lose there traditions if they embrace the west's ways. Westerners can learn from Binta's society. They can see how everyone is happy and work and eat together. An educational system can develop more funding. This can help educate children more and they can contribute to society.
